Subject: Suggestions on getting my fiance into 40k????

So i've been trying for awhile now with little success...she found some purple dice she liked at the local game shop but she flatly refuses to play 40k. I'm sure some of you out there have been in the same situation and come out victorious...share your stories!

My only advice is not to try and force her into it, if she doesn't wanna play then she doesn't wanna play. Maybe she's more interested in D&D type stuff or Fantasy?

She is actually. She loves the Lord of the Rings and I've offered to get her a box of Elves and even Legolas, paint em up and everything. She is interested in trying D&D so who knows...perhaps I will corrupt her to 40k yet

Stick with the LotR attempt and maybe try some D&D for the hell of it. LotR could lead to 40k or WFB cause well its GW and GW corrupts.

That could work too. I do it enough as it is she's bound to be bored enough to ask about it one of these days Also I may have worded my first post poorly. I'm not trying to force her into anything nor am I annoying her with it. I'm simply looking for ways that I might be able to interest her in it.

I'm with Frazeled and Sexist_hero here. Don't try and get her into the hobby. If she wants to she'll give it a go of he own accord.
An old GF tried and tried to get me into her hobby of Salsa dancing. I didn't want to know and resented her even trying.
Besides it's a good thing to have somthing thats seperate from your GF. A hobby thats just yours can be a good thing in a releationship.
