Well, 1st I hope this is allowable by the forums standards. 2nd, the girlfriend put down her foot and said that I can't spend any of the family savings on my new Orky toys. So, out w/ an old one.

I'd like to sell, trade, or sell/trade my IBM Lenovo T60 laptop. Here's some specs. off the top of my head:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz, 100GB HDD (May be 150GB, I don't recall.), 2GB RAM, 512MB ATI video card, WIFI, 15.2 widescreen, and two brand new batteries - 1 standard and 1 extended. I'll also include a case.

Currently the machine has Last XP and uBuntu installed as a dual boot.

I'm an IT Professional, so if you want me to upgrade something on it, it can easily be done.

Price is negotiable and for serious offers only. Please don't low-ball as I know what it's worth.

There is a typo in the second sentence (should be "making one of my sales" instead of "making on") that stuck out to me, and if you have a picture of the wear you mentioned on the top, and of any packaging that you'll include with it (even if it's just for the batteries you purchased) that will give the buyer more confidence that what you're selling really is in near-mint condition.

You can edit your auction if you want to add any of that

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be editing that when I get home. And the wear that is there is extremely hard to show due to the matte black "covering" on the lid being black on black.

I'm sorry to say Alazahr [not trying to slam you on the post], but I just bought a Desktop computer AND case with stats better than yours parted out and retail for $295. My girl bought a laptop at 'Frys Electronics' new with slightly better stats than yours for $310 under warranty.

I would totally support someone selling their machine to get a new army, but used, your asking price is a little high in my opinion. Sorry.

I see that Solorg has edited his posts, but I would to have seen what he wrote in response. (This is not a request for anyone to repeat it in this thread, but more of a direct statement.)

I will throw in a little more detail if I may, as I feel it may need to be stated. As I said, I highly respect his opinion on the matter, but as an IT Sales Executive I of course have my own. I do congratulate you on purchasing a laptop for $310 w/ a warranty none-the-less w/ semi better specifications then the one I am offering has. I would indeed like to know what type of make that particular machine is as well. Regardless, depending on the brand you generally purchase reliability w/ it as well. IBMs are known for being extensive, tough business machines. They are very road worthy and a lot, but not all, IT related professionals use them. In general consumer brand such as Gateway/Acer, eMachines, Fujitsu, Sony Vaio, Hewlett Packard/Compaq, and some Dells are "disposable" machines made w/ the, all-be-it unspoken, point of breaking down. Yes, it is very true you can run to Best Buy or etc. and purchase a machine that would "blow" mine out of the water specification-wise, but then again you are purchasing a machine w/ B-class components that is meant to break down after a few years. That's the point. Break down, buy another. Break down, buy another. That's why you can buy them for so cheap. In March of 2006 this was a $3200 laptop. I think it's well worth the value.
