Dammit, even GW Direct order takes paypal. What is wrong with FW?

Wait, don't answer that, we'd probably need a new thread.

You could always get a Paypal debit card. That's what I did a while back.

Oklahoma City, Ok.

if i remember right, the debit card won't work either. they want some 3 digit ID # off the back of the card, which the Pay Pal debit card doesn't have. i tried the same thing, for the same reason. i wound up transfering the money to my bank account from PP and telling the wife. confession is good for the soul.

Forgeworld is amazingly behind the times regarding their web store. I've no idea why, unless the cut paypal takes is larger than what Visa/MC take.

I've always wanted to get stuff from them but, that combined with other factors(exchange rate, shipping etc.)has stopped me.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Paypal charges a %, this is something that Forgeworld will not accept. Yes increaed sales blah blah, but that is not how they think.

I will also refrain from a general critique of Forgeworld, on this thread anyway.

Mine has that. It acts like a credit card but will deny a purchase if you don't have enough money in your paypal account so I call it a debit card. I only use it very rarely (read the paypal sucks website, etc.) but it's convenient for little things I don't want my parents/gf knowing about. Like a Forgeworld purchase.
