In total we have:
The Spear of Vulkan - found
Kesare's Mantle - found
The Gauntlet of the Forge - found
The Chalice of Fire - found
The Eye of Vulkan - found
The Engine of Woes
The Song of Entropy
The Obsidian Chariot
The Unbound Flame
Anyone have any ideas what the missing artifacts could be? Maybe even some random ideas on where they are/how they could be found?
obsidian chariot sonds like it could be a black ship, maybe a prototype for the silent running super fast invisible inquisition ones?
engine of woes - sounds like a synonym for a penitent engine... although it wont be that. Wouldnt it be cool if Vulkan was hiding a titan in his workshop??
presumably unbound flame is some kind of mega flamer
The obsidian chariot woulb make sense as a bike of some sorts, like the master of the ravenwings jetbike, or somesuch. I mean really? A freakin SHIP? It would be kinda insulting to a ships machine spirit to call it a chariot. I mean, would you name a battle barge something like Dooms Rowboat? The Scooter of Redemption? As for the Mega-Flamer idea, that makes sense. Vulkan was a pyro, so are his boys. Like a lava cannon, or something, and I know that meltas are just that, but I'm thinking like a OMGThatsFreakinBIG-MultiMelta. Or a super plasma cannon. Or hell, a plasma pistol that never overheats.
You Kids... tossing around the word 'hate' so gosh darn much that its lost all meaning. Now i have to come up with a new word to accurately describe how i feel about you all... I... Megaloathe you all.
I paint stuff for monies and stuff!! PM me, sucka!

The you must feal really bad for the chalice of fire. That's a Forge Ship. Its called a chalice. Rather be a chariot than a chalice. Anyway, the gods ride chariots.
Hmm a bike for the chariot I think that would be awesome but since it's Salamanders it would have to be like a Ghost Rider bike But also you might want to consider a Laind Raider or something
As for the Engine of Woes i think it would probably be like an imperator Titan because I don't think they had Dreadnaughts during the Horus Heresy I could be wrong though so don't quuote me. But also it seems like when you refer to an engine like this I imagine like something with an engine about the size of a Dreadnaught and also Salamanders are huge like mechanic freaks
The Unbound Flame. Yeah a flamer sounds like the logical answer but they already have the Gauntlet of the Forge which essentially is a really powerful flamer so if I had to guess on what it would be I would say... umm well perhaps maybe a Jetpack or even a Lightning claw. I know it's unlikely but I just really like Lightning Claws
The Song of Entropy I have no idea of what it could be. Maybe it's a like instructions of what you have to do with all the items after you have them to call back the Primarch like you have to do something with each item all together and it will make a sound or somethn g and summon back the Primarch that's just like something right out of my imagination though
I don't think the artifacts would be in possession Chaos or any other enemies though I would imagine the Primarch would hide them so only Salamanders could find them
Obsidian chariot is always in my mind a pitch black landraider.

I agree.
It could have been Vulkan's own pimped land raider!
It makes sense. As Xenith pointed out, gods ride in chariots. So, it makes some sense to call Vulkan's ride a chariot.

I agree with that as well but it coulb be the biggest ever ship seen, more powerful than planet killer.
As for the unbound flame I think it could be a perfectly stable plamsa source of some kind.
the Engine of Woes could be a suer reliable warp-drive, you never KNow? The ability to make literally pin point warp jumps would be a massive advantage in any conflict.
The song of Entropy is the ojnly one i don't ave a clue about
Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

Maybe the Song of Entropy is a poem? A nice poem talking about bunnies and ponies and flowers and... No? OK.
As for the chariot, I think it's unlikely that it's a super-giant powerful ship. Otherwise, the IoM would have been able to remember about it. Take the Emperor's own battle-barge (the Bucephalus), or Horus' flagship (the Vengeful Spirit) or the Furious Abyss, or the Sky Fortress. The IoM remembers about those ships because it is hard to forget about a 25km long super weapon able to flatten entire continents.
A Land Raider, or a Fellblade is smaller. Easier to forget.

my theory is that the Song of Entropy is some sort of weapon. like a conversion beamer.
perhaps a weapon that causes the target to basically be accelerated in time, causing massive entropy. Flesh would turn to ash, steel would rust, and energy would drain in milliseconds. kinda like that scene in the Last Crusade where the guy drinks from the false grail and ages like a thousand years in 2 seconds.
the Obsidian Chariot could be a Landraider or other vehicle of some kind. maybe its Vulkan's personal Fellblade.
the Unbound Flame is most likely a weapon too. maybe some sort of Melta cannon or something.
Engine of Woes could be a Space ship.

- Song of Entropy > agreed .
- Obsidian Chariot > agreed .Personal Ride of the Primarch.
- Unbound Flame > a weapon of psykers maybe? The librarians of the Salamanders seem to favor flames and an extended version of their known "spells" could be a focus of the flame based attacks bound into an artifact to be wielded.
- Engine of Woes > a pre-imperial ship? Something from the AoS ?

They Don't need to be big to be remembered. While one of the artefacts found is a huge manufactory ship and one a large orbital defense laser, the rest are small. A gaunlet with a built in heavy flamer, a spear and a drakeskin cloak.

Chariot - A great big ship. Like WOWZERS big, or just with some special mods.
Unbound flame - unbound, not bound, stable is out of the question, flamer is good, but what about... a plasma reactor? say an experimental pattern only suitable for a really big... maybe obsidian ship?
Engine of woes - a warp drive to take said ship somewhere very special, where vulcan has been taken to ?
Song of entropy - a map. a sung map. something the ship will understand, entropy, end of the universe?
VULKAN IS AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE AND HE NEEDS HIS SHIP TO GO GET HIM.
It sounds silly, but piece by piece it makes sense to me.

yup, they had Dreds.
it would have to be a special made Dred to fit a primarch to be sure.

The Engine of Woes: An Ordinatus with a GAINT Melta.
The Song of Entropy: A Gauntlet similar to The Gauntlet Of The Forge, but instead of a Flamer, it has a gun that makes you age really quickly.
The Obsidian Chariot: I'm thinking a skimmer. I know that it's not very Salamandery, but I'm thinking that after combating the Dark Eldar for many years, Vulkan fashioned a transport for himself, by taking a ruined Dark Elder one, and converting it to mock them.
The Unbound Flame: His Warhammer.
Thoughts?

I think the Obsidian Chariot is the Salamanders Fellblade.
I think the Unbound Flame will be some form of super flamer or super melta weapon, probably mounted on a ship.
