I'm new to playing orks and just made a list. I would love comments and constructive critisism. I would like to use this in local tournaments. I want it to be fun for me and my opponent but I want to win a few too.

Not sure about the two rokkits on the 'wagon. Am pretty sure that if you move you'll only be able to fire one of them. And I'm guessing you're putting the boss + Meganobz in what's a fairly expensive transport. Too many eggs in one basket, since nothing else comes up as a huge threat.

Also, 10 'ard Boyz with a Nob won't do too terribly much. Even with the armor they'll be blown away by the time they get stuck in.

Boss Zagstruk is a one-trick pony with not that good a trick. Take him and the Stormboyz out and get a Trukk for your 'Ardboyz and Power klaws for all of your Nobs. Snikrot should enter the board with a full mob so he and his Kommandos are Fearless.

It's not a good idea to load up on upgrades for Battlewagons. There are multiple purposes for which they can serve but only one should ever be focused on. Right now you've got a wierd shooty-transport-steamrolla-vehicle whacker hybrid, while it is clear that you might use it to transport the Warboss and the Meganobs.

A good configuration for transporting is:

Armor Plates
2 Big Shootas
Red Paint Job
Grot Riggers

This won't run you dry of points and it will help da Boss get to where da fightin's good, with more Boyz in tow!

I see what you mean about too many eggs in one basket. The only thing I am dead set on taking is the Boss in mega armour and the mega nobz. Perhaps put them in a trukk and remove one launcher and the shootas from the wagon. Also drop the ard boys and add something else. Anybody got any other ideas/comments?

The list I'm making up actually has the 'boss with some Nobz in a Trukk (non-mega armored), but then a KFF Mek with a grip of 'Ard Boyz in a battlewagon with Big Shootas and a roller-thingy. Guaranteed to split some attention.

Maybe strip the 'wagon in your list down, drop Zagstruck (I know, I love him too, but they're right when they say he's a one trick pony), and build up a bigger group of 'Ard Boyz with another wagon?

You might want to think about dropping Snikrot if you aren't going to give him a full mob of boyz to back him up too. Free up some points for something with better armor busting value.

Ok, thanks for everyones comments and suggestions. You guys are great. As suggested I spread my eggs out into more baskets and dropped the one trick pony.
Here is the revised list.

I would maybe drop one of the Deff Dreads and add a Big Mek with a KFF and stick him with your mobs. That 5+ cover save can make a big difference.

you need to pick a focus for these guys, a single rokkit isnt going to do much. whatever your shooting the skorcha at isnt gonna hurt much from a single rokkit that wont hit most of the time. i would go with 2 x skorchas if yours going down that route

drop the riggers, generally kans are better, but if this is what you have roll with it. 4 x DCCW is nasty, im running them right now and have had alot of sucess with them.

overall not a bad list. im not a fan of triks muself unless there are a whole slew of them, but if you get one good move out of it then it pays for itsself. when using truks rememeber the 2 R's (red and ram) i use 3 R's (red, ram, rokkits) but that was in the last codex.

always rememeber boyz before toyz. you have a good troop base, i would suggest a KFF mek, dropping the battlewagon. i would run the KFF mek in one of the boyz squads, flanked by the other 2 with the dreds up front, everyone under the KFF, which is a juicy 4_ obscuement roll for the dreds.

WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

your list is shaping up, but a few things i think should be noted.

1. Warboss needs attack squig, an extra swing with a s10 PK at WS 5 is worth 15 pts. 6 attacks on charge he is a greater deamon.

2. your mega nobz unit is solid, add 1 more kombi skorcha to the lot, they are beast. keep the kombi rocket as well, it helps for wound allocation purposes.

3. the trukk will get blown to bits. ull be lucky if you get to drop off the nobz. i run 2 mega nob squads just like i mentioned above, each in a battle wagon, one with MA boss, and one BW with a KFF big mek. works well. if you do stick with a trukk, the red paint job is all thats needed, cuz trust me if its shot it will blow anyway.

4.drop kommandos and snikrot, points are better spent.

5. boyz mobs are good ALWAYS,and lead by pk nob ALWAYS. i prefer mobz of 30 but this is debatable

6. that battle wagon you have doin nothing should transport the nobz.

7. drop all the dreds. for that cost you could run 6 kans. kans all the way anyway.i run 9.


heres what id do, take out snikrot and his boyz, and the dreds, and replace with kanz. you could run 9 and still have points. 9 kans can do a lot, and high priority.
