I'm trying to find different alternatives for Battlewagons and came across these Tanks and was trying to determine a scale. It says the dimensions are 30cm x 20cm but I'm assuming that is the box, not the model as GW boxes are the same size for smaller models.

There are other's avaiable, but I wanted to check to see if anyone has used 1:48 bases for their conversions.

I know 1/35 is too big and 1/72 are usually too small, so going for the midground.

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester

You always have to make a case by case comparison with kits like that, the easiest way to do that is to find the real vehicle's dimensions and divide them by 48.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I find that in 1/35 scale, early WW2 tanks are about Landraider size, but modern tanks are nearly as big as a baneblade. Late war WW2 tanks can be a toss up it seems, though that tank in particular looks to be pushing well into baneblade territory if those dimensions are in fact the size of the model.

Go to Walmart. In the toy dept, near the GI Joe stuff, there is stuff by, variously, 21st Century or New Millenium Toys.

$7 for a 1/48th WWII German tank, fully painted and assembled. They also have 1/32 stuff

1/48 is the right size for height, but all the guns look too small, hatches as well.
If you are looking for Ork alternatives, you may want to look at 1/32.
For human size stuff, 1/32 is too big, but I think w/ Orks it can work out.
