I need a little help. I dabbled a little in airsoft a while back, then gave it up for a while because there was no one around to play with. Now that I've met some people, I'd like to start playing again! But there's a problem. Some of my guns don't work anymore, and its driving me crazy! I was wondering if some of you guys could help?

First off I have a cheap M4 that I bought off Hobbytron, seen here.

Cool looking gun and feels fairly meaty when you have the M203 attached. That is if you don't loose it during a pretty long move.

The problem I'm having with the gun is...well, it won't fire any pellets. They are the right size, the magazine holds them, and the magazine winds up just fine. The gun just won't fire them o.O The gun will dry fire just fine, but it won't load the BB's. Putting my hand over the barrel and firing confirms there is air shooting out of it >.> Any help?

I basically have the same exact problem with this little number

Any help? Nothing is stuck in the barrel, I can slide the cleaning rods all the way to the end. Is it the magazines?

Possibly. I dunno how the beasts work.

IF they are battery powered, you might need new ones. As they age, the charge put out is lessened, so it might just not be producing a meaty enough blast of air.

Either that, could it be the springs in the magazines?

Hiding in a dark alley with a sharp knife!

Airsoft geek checking in.

Without actually looking at the gun, it's impossible to tell. But it sounds like you might indeed have a bad magazine. Did the gun ever shoot, or was it a lemon from the start?
Make sure the magazine (which I assume is a high cap) is wound untill it "clicks" and make sure it is seated fully into the gun. Try pushing up on the bottom of the magazine while you pull the trigger. If it's just the mag bieng too loose, that might fix it.

Barring that, pop over to one of the big airsoft forums and post to the technical help forums. I recomend "Arnie's Airsoft" or "Airsoft Retreat".

What brand is the gun? The whole "cheap" thing might very well be the root of your problem.

If you had clicked on the links it tells the brand

I'll have to try your suggestions tommorow morning, too noisy to shoot up in my room tonight. But, I didn't try winding the magazines all the way up, and the batteries are fine.

The G3SAS worked wonderfully for a few matches, till the problem came up. This is around the time I stopped playing.

The M4 was a lemon from the start! It fired maybe 30 rounds then stopped feeding BB's.
