Hey everyone.

I'm Joe, 18 Years old, From Milton Keynes in the UK.

I've been playing for around 6 Years, I collect (Currently) Black Templars.

I have around 2800 Points of Black Templars, fully bulked up, still haven't painted it all, I've spent almost 2 Years on them, too!

I have had: Empire, Space Orks, Dark Eldar, Tau, Beasts of Chaos, Chaos Space Marines and I've had a few bits and pieces from other armies.

I intend to start collecting Ogre Kingdoms soon enough, or possibly turn back to Beasts of Chaos.

I've lost a little bit of touch with the gaming aspect, for a few reasons, mostly working, but I'm trying to get back into this, not to mention I'm handing in an app form tomorrow at my local, and having a bit of time with the manager, get a good chat in. So fingers Crossed...

Was also wondering if anyone else is/has been an employee, and any tips from your knowledge to what could help me in my attempt. What do I need to know? What would help me? etc.

I generally stick around forums, and put in where I can, I like helping people, and this forum sounds quite nice, so hopefully you'll see a lot more of me!

Tips for GW work.
1: Don't tell them you are joining for the discount.
2: If you don't play 1 of the systems (looks like LOTR) tell them you have been looking at starting for awhile but your other armies keep getting in the way.
3: Understand that you are trying to sell and demonstarte stuff first, get to do modelling and painting second.

Go smart - it is a job interview and thye do take it into account. Also - swot up on the rules/background incase you take the test! Don't swear - they don't appreciate it (customer service or something - as if you can't swear around children these days! lol)

This is particularly helpful.

I've been brushing up on the rules over the past few days, and that tip on LOTR sounds good - I'll be honest, I'm not interested in it, but if I can pull tha excuse, I'll learn it anyway.

I'm not amazing at painting, I'm not even amazing at gaming, but I'm a fast learner, and generally quite passionate about the hobby - so I have no doubt these are things that I'll quickly learn to improve and eventually, (and hopefully) one day master.

So fingers crossed, and thanks for the heads up.

Hopefully my knowledge is sufficient, and time to get my arse into gear and try it. I think the swearing is the main thing, but I know I can hold in those sorts of things when I'm around customers (as I've been taught to do in my current job).
