So I was thinking today while playing a game of 40k, you measure from the gun how far a shot is fired right? so make a gun thats 10 inches long!!! Imagine a Battkewagon with a killkannon that can fire further than a sniper! death to the empire! While on the flip side i could do the same with my dreadnought multi melta and things like that. Death to chaos!

OH also if you concerned they can hit you back, if you make the gun long enough it would be a problem figuring out which side it hits. Also wat if you make a high rising gun so you can shoot far and ignore blocks in the TLOS!!

Yes, it is technically legal. Don't expect anyone to play against it.

Weapons do not count as hull if memory serves, so you could potentially shoot targets that can't shoot back.

As for height, this already happens with the SoB exorcist since by RAW you measure from the top of the organ barrels. So you can have its hull in full cover and still be able to shoot people.

Always 1 on the crazed roll.

You certainly could do that. But I refer to...

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

I know I wouldn't actually do it but it would be cool to see some one doing it but it WOULD be kind of cheap =\

Oh another thing I just discovered. You can give a scout sergeant a sniper and a power fist, PW, or plasma pistol.

same with shotgun and CB

I know what would happen here if someone did that.

The model would be out in the road.

No Id laugh at the attempt and say "ok nice try, now start measuring from the base/hull so your shots are actually accurate. I usually measure from their anyways. Thats one of those lets discuss before the game starts type of thing

The land of cotton.

In days gone by, you measured from the gun mount. That solved all these silly "I haz a huge cannon!" ideas.

This thread reminds me of the Battlewagons that had walls built off the tops, front and back to block LOS.

Even after buffing shotguns still blow, thanks to the new rapid fire rules. Bolters shoot further, can shoot twice, have the same strength, and are ap5 to boot.

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.
