Okay, to start off with - while having a CCS with a Lascannon does make a certain amount of sense with BS, having it with a LC and a powerfist does not. IG are not, and have never been, about swiss-army-knife units. Units need to be specialized to do one thing or another - and frankly, CC is not something that IG are specialized to do at all. I'd lose the PF completely. That unit shouldn't be getting into HtH, and if it does, all it should be doing is dying. I don't really think that the CCS is the best place for a LC (if you have to have lascannons in the new codex, at least run them in HWS), but if you must have it there, at least fill out the CCS with other things that will be good at range: plasma gunners and advisors. In fact, since you don't have a Chimera for the CCS and it looks like it will be pretty static, you might want to pay the points for a Master of Ordnance - with his scatter, he's not that great, but if you're not moving your CCS, there are worse options.

Same thing with the melta bombs on the Infantry Squads - there's no reason for them to be there. You shouldn't be getting those squads close enough to a tank to use it. And all those LCs in the line squads should be concentrated into HWS squads - arm the line squads with AC/Plas and I think it'll be more effective.

You've got a lot of lascannons, but with the 5E rules, it's pretty hard to kill tanks with them. I think you should scrap all those LCs and buy yourself meltas for your PCSs. If you're concerned about hordes (thus buying the flamers), the Russes and Valk MPs will do you well, but you've got so little effective anti-tank, I think you need to change the PCS flamers to meltas.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I'll take a swing at it.

I don't particularly like lascannons in infantry squads. One could certainly make a case for them. In my autocannon/plasma gun squads I tend to issue 'bring it down' to them way more often than not. When shooting at light vehicles, lascannons average less results than autocannons but their ratio of penetrates to glances is vastly superior. Against T6 MCs with 3+ or 2+ saves, lascannons under 'bring it down' would outperform autocannons. Autocannons are the superior gun for all infantry firing. And they are 10 points cheaper. Ultimately, i wont stop you from running las/plas on line squads, but I'm in love with the flexibility of AC/plas.

command squads need chimeras. They really do. You get two extra heavy weapons, you get protection, the range of your orders is increased and you can move them around to get their access to special weapons to bear.

I prefer my command squads to have meltaguns and be mobile in chimeras. They can fire all guns out of the chimera and stay safe, or if they want they can get out and issue themselves a 'bring it down'.

When I'm looking at where you've got your voxes, it looks like you might be planning to blob your platoons in every mission rather than only in KP missions. I would advise heavily against that. the cool thing about voxes is that you can take one or two or three, if you want, and your performance will improve, but every unit that can take one doesn't have to take them. I think you should start without voxes at first, then figure out which units take the most orders, and issue them voxes first. Remember if you have units with voxes, issue their orders first, so you can re-roll a double 6's.

I don't particularly like the standard battle cannon, it is a little 'unfocused' for me. And I like to be able to move and shoot, so I prefer no sponsons.

If you don't mind I'd like to post a new list with my suggested changes. (revising a list is kinda like giving an actor a line read... you might really offend the person. )

This is a cool set up. you have enough orders to issue every line squad a 'bring it down' or a FRFSRF, you have tons of meltagun support and only 13 kill points if you form up all of your squads. That is a low enough number for a mechanized army that I don't think you need to include the commissar. All this list has to do is have their infantry kill tanks, and have their tanks kill the infantry, and you'll be just fine. When killing those tanks and infantry try and kill the stuff that can kill your tanks first.

Let us know if you get in a game in and how it goes.
