I was thinking of using the Forgeworld Eldar Phoenix as a Heavy Support in my Eldar army for fluff. Imperial Armour Apocalypse list it as a Heavy Support option, what are you thoughts on the Phoenix as well as any Flyer in normal 40K game? At around $90 US, fluff is nice but it has to work.

So, no. I'd pass on playing your army in such a configuration.

If I had a working knowledge of the flyer rules, and we agreed beforehand, then yes.

Just turning up and saying 'Im using imperial armour rules' wouldnt sit well with me.
