So, I have a fully painted Lysanderwing that I'm going to rep as Deathwing. This will allow me to use what I have while only having to paint a few extra LC termies. Flame away, but what I'm really after is, should I even bother with a list like this, or will I get my teeth kicked in too much? If I have to buy too many extra things, it's not really worth it I'm thinkin' and I could play another army. This is just to allow me to use the LysanderWing I have.

Basically, with this list as such, I only have to paint 4 Lightning Claw terminators to replace the second assault cannon that I already have painted, and I'm going to add the Black Reach dread I have laying around.

If I go the Black Templar route, I can have my dual AssCan's, but I'd have to paint a couple marines, rhinos, and an emperor's champion.

This list requires me to get more models, but I can spam more assault cannons. Which is more viable?

First, Belial is only 130 points, don't know if that's a typo or not.

For the DW, it can do well in certain games vs. certain armies. It can do very well in KP and Command/Control games but I think would hurt with multiple objectives (you just can't spilt up the DW enough). It'll put the hurt on Nob Bikers and Nidzilla but will get destroyed by Mech Eldar/Tau. It's not a bad army; I'd take a second multi-melta instead of the assault cannon, and don't forget that the apothecary can affect any unit within 6" so stay together.

Alot of this army has to do with what I already have built and painted.

I have 3 squads of 5 termies with 2x Asscans, Lysander, and a dread with an assault cannon. I have several assault terminators, and 5 black reach termies and dread that could quickly be finished up.

Ideally, I would think that 2x LC's per deathwing squad would be idea, and I would run Belial with LC's, and both dreads would have multi-meltas if drop podding or lascannons otherwise.

I guess I'm more concerned about will the list above suffice, or am I looking at buying alot more models to make it work enough for me to be satisfied?
