After finding the old Crimson Fists 4th Company Captain Cortex at a local independent retailer for an awesome price, I decided to try my hand at a "pro painted" model to put on ebay just to see how much I can fetch. First off I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to base the model to add to it's...glamor? Hah, anyways, here are my two current ideas. First one is a bunch of broken tiles which I am considering painting a broken Aquila onto as well.

Second idea is a cityscape, a wall, a lamp, random tubing...maybe try and work in a piece of paved road?

ALL opinions are wanted! So please, feel free to add in your ideas!

The tile idea is good. But instead of having it broken why not just a big slab with the Aquila? I think it would look better then a broken design.

Never say die! Never surrender!

If I go with the tile idea, I may as well just put him on a 25mm base, yeah?

Go with the tiles - for some reason the cityscape base pic makes me think of Dick Van-Dyke in Mary Poppins.

Drink is the curse of the land. It makes you fight with your neighbor. It makes you shoot at your landlord, and it makes you miss him.

I too vote for the aquila slab.

As an aside, you are honestly going to sell that horrible miniature? It is probably the most disappointing sculpt out of gw ever. I remember how disappointed I was when it came out, because I really liked his fluff and would have fielded him if he had a decent model.

another vote for the aquila slab. Also, This model seems to be what inspired this marine:

Well it seems unanimous then. Last question though since I'm going with the slab: 25mm or 40mm base?
