If you're not familiar, Wargames Factory has a program where fans can submit an idea and if 1000 people promise to preorder it (no money down) they'll make it. So far zombies and 6mm killer robots have come out and it looks like Sci Fi troopers in great coats and gasmasks are next.
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/league
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/leagueindex
Both the killer robots and the sci fi troopers were heavily driven by GW fans clamoring for stuff they can't get.
Obviously anything that is not generic is right out, but even with that restriction I think we can come up with a lot of things we would like.
There's a ton of submissions up and they're about to start posting from their huge backlog of ideas. I think I have 10 or more in their queue.
Anything catch people's fancy? If GW fans united behind one idea like they did with Gasmask Troopers it could happen in a few months.
For IG I can see interest in:
Near Future Islamic Rebels
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=43576
Sci-Fi Soviets
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=48834
Mid Tech Sci Fi soldiers
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=44124
Near future weapons
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=43905
For Necromunda, Inquisitor and Dark Heresy I can see:
Postapacalyptic mutants
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=42197
Sci Fi Civilians
http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=40560

Good call!
I had an idea for Sci-Fi Roman Empire Praetorians in Baroque armor but I doubt anyone here would be interested in such a thing.

Do they do Fantasy sculpts, or prefer to stick to Sci Fi?

Don't they exist already?
I'd like to see some Steampunk infantry, My thinking at the moment is that they'd look like late WWI German storm troopers (body armour) but with more elaborate uniforms (epaulettes and such) and possibly spiked helmets exchangeable or pith helmets (with or without spikes) so they'd be usable for several European powers.

I would love to see them sculpt a few main battle tanks to the scale of the leman russ. Something that could be used for the basis of a conversion but is different enough that I don't feel like it's another russ.
Given how bad the current russ is I think most could certainly do better.

Cyborgs. Bionic parts galore. At a scale to be suitable for orks, marinez, maybe even IG.

Good call.
Wouldn't even have to be whole models... Just sprues full of parts.
Some would me "Human" sized. (IG)
Some would be "oversized." (SM)
Some would be "Extreme" sized. (Orks)

I seriously have to wonder if Wargame Factory intended to become the repository for the hopes and dreams of GW players, where all our miniature wants are full filled. Really I think people will be disappointed a bit, I got some of their Romans and they don't stack up to the Warlord Games plastics. I think we can assume that as time goes on their minis will get better but they're a bit on the blobby side.
That said I could only stand to see zombies, mutants, and penal legionaries... anything else and it probably isn't worth the plastic.

It would be nice to see upgrade sprues for some of the existing armies. If you look at what sells well for other companies; ex. Forgeworld sells kits to upgrade cadiens to gasmask heads, turn them into chaos legionaires, plus all the marine compnents. Also loads of heads and bits sold by maxmini and microarts studio for orks, marines and guard. I would like to see an add on sprue for different armies with alternate heads and torsos,bionics,backpacks,weapons,etc..that would be nice.
