Hi , i use zap a gap on all my metal models , but i noticed something on the models
without metal slot tab.
Is it me, or does the glued area on the 2 feet actually warps the plastic base as it dries?
For example , Kroxigor ( 2 glue points no tab ) , Red Terror ( same 2 glued points no tab )
Both base gets warped a day after applying the glue.

I've had that happen before sometimes when i apply my zip kicker accelerator a bit to liberally, but never from just the straight glue. That's pretty strange that it would do that without using zip kicker.
do you use zip kicker? It tend to create an intense heat as the accelerator dries the glue which could melt the plastic a bit.

Hey Luna! I use Z-A-G on all my models. Me thinks you are using too much glue (which makes the fast drying, not so much).
Zip kicker is an insta cure fluid that when applied to the glue, literally dries in 10 seconds or less.

That's not all zipkicker does.
All superglues give off a certain amount of heat when they cure (epoxies do as well, but I'll not go into that ). If they cure faster, then the temperature increase is faster and sharper (it gets hot quicker). Plastic melting and warping IS a side effect of this.
Not just with zipkicker, though. Too much superglue of any kind also can result in this.

its the acetone they put in the Zap-A-Gap. what kind of Z-A-G are you using.(what color is the bottle) if you're using the gap filling one thats really thin you may be using too much. try and use less or switch to a gel super glue something thicker will have a slower dry time and therefore will not dry as "hot".

I use the green Z.A.G , im pretty sure i dont use too much because the krox has a metal (peg?) to stick into the hole i drilled beneath , and i didnt want zap a gap to leak through onto my table and thus gluing my mini on my table xD
well so its confirmed its caused by glue , and im not crazy imagining why those bases are lopsided ^^;

The green stuff is relatively thin as compared to a few other brands/types. I use the gorilla glue brand super glue. In all my years of modeling it is the best product I have used. they rubberized it which made the stuff magic. you just have to get over the hugely fat tip on the end of it though.
As for the larger bases you can pin the feet through the bases and bend the pin around the bottom of the base and you should be able to use little to no glue.
