Kinda short notice, but we are having a 40K tournament at our local game store and I thought I might put it uphere if anyone was interested in playing.

It will be on this coming Saturday, April the 25th. It starts at 10:00 AM. (To my knowledge we aren't starting at ten, just want everyone to get there ASAP.)

Entry fee will be $10.00.

There is no painting requirement. (But it is encouraged.)

There will be three rounds. Mission taken from the book, with maybe a few surpirses.

Highest total score after all three rounds comes in first.

Prizes will be given out to first and second place, and maybe third if we have enough people.

We will use the RTT scoring cards.

New info painting is definitely going to be rewarded in points.

Here are the missions for the Tournament:


The First Mission - Annihilation with Dawn of War deployment.

Massacre - Six or more "kill points" more than your opponent or wipeout your oponent

Solid Victory - Three or more "kill points" more than your opponent

Draw - Less than three "kill points"


The Second Mission - Seize Ground with Pitched Battle deployment.

Massacre - Three or more objectives more than your opponent or wipeout your oponent

Solid Victory - One objective more than your opponent

Draw - Less than one objective more than your opponent


The Third Mission - Capture and Control with Spearhead deployment.

Massacre - Both objectives or wipeout your oponent

Solid Victory - One objective more than your opponent

Draw - Less than one objective more than your opponent

Points are still being worked out. Battle point modifiers will be present, but have not typed them up yet. Please tell others to come as we are hoping for this to be a success.

Here are the battle point modefiers for the tournament. (These will be the same throughout each mission.)

Destroyed enemies HQ (If there are multiple HQ choices with different costs, then choose the one with the higher cost. If there are multiple with the same cost, then destroying either one will satisfy this battle point modifier.)

Destroyed all of enemies Troops choices (They cant win if they dont have Troops.)

Destroyed enemies Fast Attack (If there are multiple Fast Attack choices with different costs then choose the one with the higher cost. If there are multiple with the same cost then destroying either one will satisfy this battle point modifier. If the enemy has no Fast Attack choices then you automatically get this battle point modifier.)

Destroyed enemies HS (If there are multiple HS choices with different costs then choose the one with the higher cost. If there are multiple with the same cost then destroying either one will satisfy this battle point modifier. If the enemy has no HS choices then you automatically get this battle point modifier.)

Wiped Out enemy (Pretty self explanatory, good luck with this one)

Completing each of these battle point modifiers will give you one extra battle point towards your total score. (Per battle point modifier completed, per round.)

Massacre - 20 pts

Solid Victory - 15 pts

Draw - 10 pts

Major Loss - 05 pts

Massacred - 0 pts

Each result will be modified by the number of battle point modifiers completed. (Per round.)

That means without the painting score there is a possible 75 battle points.


Painting scores will go as follows:

If any of the models in the army are bare plastic or metal (Not primed) - 0 pts

If all models in the army are primed - 5 pts

If all models in the army are painted to the three color standard - 10 pts

If all models in the army are painted to the three color standard and are completely based - 15 pts

This part of the tournament will be judged by me. I will be looking to see that time and effort was put into the models.

This means that there is a total of 90 points overall for the tournament.
