Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about any Ard Boyz tournys for this year. I can't seem to find anything on the GW website. I hope they don't cancel due to bad economic times.

I wouldnt hold my breath. I think GW is taking the year off.

Pretty sure there won't be any 'ardboys as there are no GT's. Where would they have the finals?

No GT's?!!!! For real? Man, I am out of the loop I guess. Did not know that either.

Well the Ardboyz are run by the trade sales team rather than the US community team so we may still see some Ardboyz action this year.

The biggest problem has been logistics which had the major effect on the GT's. GW is still heavily supporting the Indy GT's and there are several poping up to compensate for the missing GW GT's. After their reorganization they were not able to get dates set making space hard for the GT's. The Ardboys dont come with the same baggage so we may still see them pop up if they can get them organized in time. There has been no official word yet and the community guys are not sure what is happening yet either.

If they do, it would be nice to have more than a month's notice. And why not have an A'rd Boys? Not like they need to rent a hall or anything, and the finals can be held at Glen Burnie.

my FLGS said that they were already waiting on the paperwork for thier Ardboyz tourny. That tells me that there will be one. I sure liked playing in that tourney even though I lost. It was a lot of fun just to get to play with different people.

Since Ard Boyz is run by trade sales, I give it even odds for the Ard Boyz to be happening this year.

'Ardboyz will probably be run by Promotions, with some admin by tradesales. It has very little of the costs associated with running GT's. I'd look for them to run them this year, especially because they cancelled the GT's. Give it a couple of WD's, I expect we'll see something about it.

Ardboyz if it returns will be run on a much smaller scale. I am guessing very regional focused more then anything.

I might actually consider Ard Boyz this year. I was planning on the LV GT.

Would be nice if they had Ardboys this year. The tourneys are fun and it would seem that they really boast sales as people buy more to extend their armies to Ardboys large points sizes.

Don't think there will be any fantasy ard boyz... looks like they won't be happening. (April has come and almost gone...)

Hopefully we'll see something on the next couple of White Dwarves.
