Hello we have just finished our very first commission which consists of 4 Eldar Guardians.

It has taken some time but it has paid off, they're not exactly the best paint job ever but £3 each seems reasonable.

4x Eldar Guardians = £12inc P&P + £3 roughly, if outside UK.

Thanks very much.

It looks good, but the bases need more attention

What paint do you recommend for the bases?

Do you think they are worth £3?

When you take photos, the mini's shadow should never be infront of them towards you. Its best at 12 clock behind them.

I would not pay £3 for those models, sorry. The bases need a lot of work, and the paint jobs themselves are very "meh". The bad photos only make this worse.
Use MUCH smaller sand for the bases and paint, drybrush, and drybrush again them.

If you're serious about this sort of thing, you really need to think about why the buyer would choose to buy the miniatures you are selling. If someone wants to avoid painting their miniatures, they have no use for four Guardians. They'll be in the market for a full squad. And if someone is looking to add to their army, they want unpainted miniatures.

Eldar are a good candidate for pre-painted miniatures, since there's not as strong a need for different squads to be uniform, but models within the same squad should look the same.

I agree somewhat with the other posters.

Get better pics to show off your work. HUGE BENEFIT if you do.

Bases... God bases.

My technique: SMALLER SAND.

I glued the sand to the base with wood glue. Cover base in glue, dip in sand, let dry for a couple hours.

Then spray paint the whole base black to help seal in the sand.

Dry-brush your darker base color. I used Tau Sept Ochre Foundation paint on mine recently.

Go over in lighter color dry-brushed VERY gently to pick out highlights. I used Iyanden Dark Sun Foundation paint for this.

Let dry.

Then I put small blobs of superglue on the bases where I want static grass. COVER THE BASE in static grass and push the grass carefully into the superglue. Dump off excess grass and use your mouth to blow off any excess grass. There you go all done.

With practice this will look great I promise.

Lastly. You tried. I give you props for that. You got a tabletop standard down well. Now let's go a little further with the pics, details and basing. You will get it if you keep trying.

Have fun.

As I said in my post in your other thread, you need to paint what people need. In order to figure out what people need, you should probably take a look at the various army list threads to get a sense for unit sizes. For example, Space Marines, they can be combat squaded with a choice of heavy weapons. You could sell squads of 5 marines and then individual heavy weapons. There wouldn't be much call for 1-4 marines.
