Been reading Dakka since around May of last year. I'm not much of a posty person but a "what if Tau had bikes?" question was asked and it spurred me to make an acct to come ask.

I play tyranids and thousand sons. Not the strict thousand sons though, mark of tzeentch on basically everything and 2-3 squads of T-Sons in each game. I'm going to put T-Son heads on my terminators when I get around to having a spare hundred bucks. My bugs are nearly finished, just a battleforce and handful of pewters away.

I play with a small group of friends and enjoy "what if" scenarios and making up custom missions not in the rulebook. Such as destroying specific objectives, picking up and moving an objective capture-the-flag style. It's putting an objective onto a base, moving a squad to it and it "joining" the squad to move with them. We are also soft on making adjustments to existing things. Such as my first line, my friend had an excellent conversion idea involving gun drones, fire warriors, and eldar jet bikes. We're trying to come up with a points value to use in friendly games.

We play plenty of by-the-book games too. My most common opponent was a lash-using CSM player. Now I find myself playing against Tau nearly exclusively.

Strangely I've only ever won one game with my bugs. It was a 1750 game with 4 objectives against Space Wolves and it was only just a month ago. Perhaps even more unusually I've never rolled an annihilation mission when rolling up the mission. With my Thousand Sons I've taken 2 wins in a row against Tau, but that's the only two I've played with my T-Sons so far.

Not much else to say for now other than big thank-you to Yakface. I found dakka when I first started playing tyranids and a web search brought me here and to his articles which I found extremely informative. Those helped me to build my army in game which I at the time knew very little about. More recently him and his "team" I guess you could say put out that awesome FAQ which helped my gaming circle clear up several little issues. Since coming here originally I've found a wealth of information seemingly too numerous to exhaust. Dakka is great stuff. Now if only there was dakka falvored ice cream. It'd be the best ice cream ever.
