I have this box of CRAP that has several old Wizard/Warlock/Sorcerer figs that appear to be GW, but I can't find them anywhere. And SOLegend.com doesn't seem to have them either.

IMAGES HERE: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-9454-2327_Mystery%20Sorcerors.html

I'd try to describe them, but words fail me. One of them LOOKS sorta DE/Tzeentch-ish. His staff is the spine of something with a really elongated skull on the end. The pointy shoes really accentuate the flame embroidered cloak.

The MASTER OF THE POINTY HAT might be a High or Dark Elf. HE has scale-type armor and a significant amount of skulls. He is holding a crystal ball in his left hand and a wavy (and highly impractical) sword in his right hand.

Final guy is a very typical wizard. Crystal ball upraised in the right hand, Ginormous staff in his left hand stretched high into the air. The staff has an equally ridiculous sort of upside-down decorative cross on the end with a big ball in the middle. Flame and skull motif alL over his clothes. Possibly an Early Primarch for the Space Marines, because this dude is YELLING.

Any help, guys?

Try http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

This is where I ended up when I was trying to look up obscure necromunda miniatures.

Good luck

Doesn't seem to have them there.

Knowing my luck I'm wrong and they aren't even GW. But they really LOOK GW...

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

As I said in the original post, they aren't there. Some of the sections are annoyingly incomplete.

Doh. Yeah, it'd help if I could read. My bad, sorry. :(

Can you post any pics of these guys?

Hiding in a dark alley with a sharp knife!

When you get access to the camera, if you can't get anyone here to ID them for you, try the Citadel Miniature Collectors Yahoo group. There are some very knowledgable folks there.

I'm pretty sure they are not GW, they look almost like they could be heartbreaker minis.

Really? I think they look very Warhammer Quest or Talisman related.

That would throw a kink in the plan.

Way out West

I have the mini with the staff and orb and the groovy flame cloak ala 1979 disco. It's a Heartbreaker. Cannot vouch for the others.

Wyoming, yeah, the big square state out west. No, that one's Colorado... just above... yeah right there, the one with Yellowstone. No, we're not Montana.

The others look to be a similar style of sculpting, and are definitely not GW. Heartbreaker would have been my guess for all of them, as they're not quite good enough to be Harlequin.

Somewhere in south-central England.

The only thing I can offer is that the Pointy Hat bloke looks a bit Melnibonean and might be from the Elric range that GW did in the later 80s. I had the Eternal Champions box set, but I never had any others from the range and I'm not sure how many other Elric figures GW published.

Just checked the SOL website. There are some Pang Tang infantry who are similar with scale armour... could the figure be a Pang Tang sorceror from a blister pack?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

They're not GW. They were sculpted by ex-GW Eavy Metal guys (Tim Prow and a bunch of others). The company name was Heartbreaker and they were available in the mid 90s.

I used to own a bunch of them, they could be patchy but there were some gems in that range.

The GW Melnibonean range was sculpted by Jes Goodwin, these are not them. I'd kill for well sculpted licenced Melniboneans.

[edit] Few pics but this is the range. http://www.nobleknight.com/ViewProdLine.asp_Q_ManufacturerID_E_200_A_CategoryID_E_5_A_GenreID_E_0
