I think they would sell more if the weapons were separate parts.

They look cool.

I had the same thought. Heads are cool. Bodies are okay, but I have no desire to separte the weapons from the body so I can put lasrifles and bolters and flamers on them.

In the dark future, there are skulls for everyone. But only the bad guys get spikes. And rivets for all, apparently welding was lost in the Dark Age of Technology. -from C.Borer

I'm not actually verry keen on these particular sculpts but it pleases me that they're still putting out new product.

Can you get their C3P0-esque command robot by himself?

since some of this was mentioned and some folks dont like to go read elsewhwere.
from the article KK linked...

"Firstly, I have attached a pic of the first masters for the Kolony Feral range - nomadic outcasts clad in hooded rags and twisted facemasks. This range starts with standard weapons and will progress into specialised weapons, leaders etc. As usual the heads are swapable and will be released as separate sprues in the near future.

Also, to be released soon is a Kolony gun sprue as featured on the standard militia figures."

Personally, I think these are very cool. Pig Iron has had some consistently good releases for awhile now.

To the people who are loath to convert the weapons on these guys, would it be that big of a deal to just count the basic weapons as lasguns?

Ugh. Have to disagree. While I am sure there is skill in there somewhere, I'm just not seeing it. The odies could do for Tallarns I think, but I am not feelin the sculpt quality. The heads are dreadful. Not tryin to hurt feelins, but I just feel a real negative vie for these.

And yes, they are sand people, without the long rifles.

i disagree, i dont think the sculpts are bad i think they are what they are supposed to be.
these guys are nomads with crap equipment and i think the sculpts reflect that nicely.

It's also funny how different PI stuff looks with paint on it. Also, their bodies (poses, drapery etc.) are consistently lower-quality than their heads, or at least are more noticeably so when contrasted to GW stuff.

But those heads on GW men-at-arms bodies will make some kickin' rebel Tech Guard!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Forever alone

Those heads are awful. I'm sorry, but no-one has helmets that bad.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I htink that the execution is lacking, not the fact that they are suppossed to look rag-tag. I DO grasp that concept. However, the heads look like they just had flat pieces of greenstuff presses on for the details, it hardly looks like sculpting at all. There is no real depth to the sculpting on the heads whatsoever. I respect your opinion, however will have to strenuously disagree. Hope we can still be friends.

No, he comes in a pack with the Kolony Militia commmand unit.

Love these figures. It's always good to have more options for ash waste troopers, chaos cultists, lost and the damned, and genestealer cultists.

Pig Iron seems to be batting close to a thousand. One of the better independant manufacturers.
