G'day! If your up against
SM,
IG, Tyranids and Orks, consider the rhino + 9 thousand sons and sorcerer. with inferno bolts being AP3 they are designed to be dangerous to
SM's, can lay down heaps of fire on the move for taking out hordes (although they will need the Zerker's supporting them once the tide hits!).
I like the sorcerer for Bolt of change (a bit of anti tank in your anti infantry unit) -
st 8 on a BS4 model is sweet.
Lose the terminator lord and spend the points on a chaos sorcerer with slannesshi lash combo. with the two slaneshi lashes you will dominate where the action happens (its also cheesy - be warned youre mates may justifiably sulk).
The lashes are great for big templates too - find a vindicator or defiler (whichever model you prefer) for some pie-plate of doom! Given your opponents, the defiler would deal with most of the troops with no armour save (
SM excepted). Also love them against tyranids - quite a few of their ranged weapons struggle to do more than glance a vehicle - and when you ignore shaken/stunned, you only get stung on a damage roll of 5 or 6. Even then, you loose a weapon and keep on coming.
ah... wings on the
DP are great if you can afford it, and consider a fast option. I like bikes against
IG, as they are reluctant to get into
CC, and you get a 3+ cover save after turbo boosting. or equip them for tank hunting.
