hi im new to this forum and would like you to give me some tips on how to improve my necron army.

HQ
necron lord with destroyer body, phalactery, and ressuruction orb.

Troops
28 warriors split into squads of 14 and 14

elites
3 destroyers
7 scarab swarms

i only just started collecting necrons so i know its not much but i want to get a monolith and more warriors. when my armys about 2000 points i will get a nightbringer.

ps: i hate metal models.

I would invest in as many Monoliths as you can afford, and as many Immortals as you can affford.

A Necron Lord with Veil of Darkness attached to some Immortals is brutal. Try that too.

I run with 2x Monoliths in 1500.
Nightmare Shroud is HUGE when paired with a destroyer body or Veil of Darkness.
Resurrection Orbs are pretty much only useful with solo Destroyer Lords are marching Lords that hang back with the Warriors.
Immortals and Destroyers don't really benefit from it unless your facing a bunch of S:10 ranged weapons.

Get heavy destroyers and more destroyers, necrons are useless without them.

Many Warriors + about 2 monoliths will do ya a great deal of good. Immortals are great stuff for some heavier fire support and Flayed Ones are wonderful for objective heavy game (outflank).

many people say that necrons are a very slow army but they are one of the fastest armies in the game.

A necron lord with veil can teleport anywhere. a monolith can bring in necron warriors at the oppositions side of the table, scarabs can turbo boost and deepsrike.

Speedrs are obviously speedy!

they are actualy really fast!

Monolith are always a good idea. Immortals and Destroyers are also never bad. If you take immortals, have something to keep them from assault.

Alot of the nercon players around here are doing destroyer heavy list for a good reason. 36inch ranged weapon that takes out tanks. i havent looked at the codex much since i sold my necrons but a list im thinking about makin is.

lord with destroyer body res orb(another power you may like)

2x (5) immortals

2x (15) warriors(these arent much for fighting objective holders)

1x tomb spider

3x (5-7) destroyers idk the max you can have

2x monoliths

i dont have the codex in front of me so i dont know how many points this list is. It's prolly 2k if not more.

so all you really do is fly around and pour shots into every thing as quick as you can. you use the jet movement to tie objectives and with ur worriors on the board holdin them you should win objevtive base games easily. Any other games you just pour on the shots from hell and go to work with ur destroyers that dish out 3x36inch guns each.


I would/will play this list if not some thing just like it. Hope this helps you
