I'm Jungle and I am probably best described as a "closet" gamer. I am 24 years old and living in Chi-town. I used to be really into Fantasy and 40K but moved away from it about a decade ago. Fortunately for me/unfortunately for my wallet, I picked up a Black Library novel (Eisenhorn) while looking for something to read on a business trip to Arkansas. Now, after about two years of buying almost every 40K novel published I am giving in to the underlying desire to start playing again. To that end I have bought the new 5th edition rulebook and the Space Marine Codex and am currently trying to get a feel again for the game before I start buying any minis. Also, I live in a apartment with a bunch of my old frat brothers and I think I'd probably never hear the end of it if they found out I played so I am holding off for about a month until after I've moved into my own place. So, I will probably just try to absorb as much wisdom as I can and immerse myself back into the gaming side of the hobby.

Welcome to Dakka Dakka. If you are looking for more information on whats being played and how the armies are doing, neat tricks with the rules in mind (also called 'Cheese' sometimes cause it abuses the rules) I would suggest the forums '40k Tactics' and '40K Army Lists' for some good info on rules people don't like or think are off try 'You Make Da Kall' sometimes it can give you insight on what people think about certain rules.
