so, i decided i might as well chronicle my mediocrity :p

At the moment ive started putting together an ork force, havent played or painted anything in almost 3 years, and never did orks before so this is pretty cool and fun, and god i just love the ork codex .

Dont be expecting any masterpieces, as im not really that good, but i dont think im freakin terrible either, what i post will usually be updated with newer and newer pics, as ill usually do some touchup work on earlier minis while im waiting for a coat to dry on something just done, so everything posted is always a work in progress.

constructive criticism is welcome, especially as im a little color blind and i have some diff shades or orkiness im thinking about but cant pick between

the first color scheme prototype
this was a super basic thing i threw together when i only had a few paints; tin bitz, burnished gold, chaos black, gore red, chain mail, snot green and badab black inkwash.

^^^ ill retake this picture after i finish some of da boyz, swapping pic ms to adapter and bleh)

it needs a lot of little fixes, and ill eventually do some modelling to make it more orky but im leaving it like this at the moment while i go and paint the flesh of the rest of this squad of da boyz. seeing as i have no life and im sitting here all day with this i shouldnt take too long to really start movin thru these minis

Update 5/02/09

so i picked up a killa kan because i just love the idea of a lil grot wreaking havoc, came with a flamer and i wanted a big shoota, so i did a little conversion, bear in mind this is my first conversion in years and i still have to find a bit of orky looking metal to cover a bit of a gap in the front.

i used 2 deffguns from a loota and burna sprue i made burnaz from, sawed out the arms and a lot of the cabling and other various things, added the barrels and some parts from a mekboyz pole and various other bits, probably will basecoat it later, though i can imagine spraypaint noises at 3am might freak out the neighbors

heres 2 more angles on it.

and here is the first loota i started just a few hours ago, just a super basic addition of a few things to make him a little more humorous.

Welcome, for your first time painting in like 3 years its good. All I would suggest is using the GW washes to bring out the line detail.(by line I mean the folds the muscles make and so on.)
