Hello every one. I am new to dakka forums but not new to 40k war gaming. I currently have roughly 2800pts in necrons (about 2500 built and painted), 2000pts in catachan death world army (I stopped working on them when the codex was superseded), and 1300pts in un-built tyranids. I play with some friends and my brother, we mostly play against competitive players in pickup games at the local 40k store (games depot). I really liked playing with my death world army, but I did not like what I had to do with the army when the new codex was released. So I jumped on the necron bandwagon when they were first released. I had a LOT of luck with them in 4th edition, although I did not play much I never lost a game. Until 5th was released, ever since then I have not won a game with them. Although I am almost finished with painting the rest of them I have decided to put them on hold until a new codex is released. So right before x-mas I bought a tyranid assault brood box. The plan being to build a fun cc army that could hold its own until the necrons get a much needed update. Now me and my friends are becoming more and more competitive, we all seem to be working on tournament winning armies now. Although we don’t play in tournaments right now, and have not really played them in the past. We are considering going out of state to play some. That is what brings me to dakka.
