Halfway through painting up the rest of my Assault Terminators and I am looking for input on either where they could be improved, and more specifically ideas for ways to do their TH/SS. I can paint pretty much any technique except NMM well (haven't really tried yet), and I'm looking at doing a black->grey->bright white on edges effect on them.

Any input is appreciated

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

Very nice, the bleached bone is quite clean. How did you do it? The reds are nice too.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

I would continue the theme you already have: either a gold or red base on the shield and paint the higher emblems and detail bleached bone or gold.

QFT. You're doing well so far, more of the same palette and techniques will do you well, it seems. Unless you fancy painting energy crackles over the hammers.

Gryphone Sepia will help on the gold, followed by a tiny final highlight of gold/silver mix. Other than that (v small) obsevation they look great. Look forward to seeing them finished

Thanks guys, I'm just getting around to finishing them up this weekend. The red is fairly straightforward. From a base of chaos black it's scab red, red gore, blood red blended to desired effects. Low lightning is done by mixing scab red with a touch of chaos black (no pun intended ) to darken it just enough to put it into the right areas. I'm leaning towards the arcing lightning, but I might also just go for some simple highlights to save time, as I have 6 unpainted vehicles and about 40 infantry sitting on my desk O_O

Also, the scrolls are a bit different from the armour, the scrolls are bestial brown -> snakebite leather -> commando khaki -> bleached bone
the armour is a continuation of my terminator chaplain inspiration from GD, bestial brown -> snakebite leather -> bleached bone -> skull white
