The Japanese make all the coolest things. Check out this video of a working exoskeleton thats controlled by bio-signals from the brain. Just add some armour and skulls and its a Space marine.

(THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK)

The Sarcos heavy suit and the lockheed martin HULC suit are both superior to that model. Though in fairness that ones considerably cheaper then the two I just mentioned.

They american models have different purpose as well. The japanese ones were designed with the intent of helping older people retain mobility and independence. The US ones are designed to allow troops to more easily load and unload cargo. The Lockheed one has the advantage of a scalable battery pack, where they can add more batteries depending on the duration of use. It can also accept a 45lbs generator that extends the suits range; 1x10lb battery 1 to 2hrs, generator 10hrs. Once we get some fusion reactors, back pack sized then we can talk about power armor.

Well this is new to me. The sarcos already has tthe armour in the plans. Now if only the US Army can get a better rifle than the outdated M-16. It's not like there aren't better assault rifles, and SMGs out there.

Looks like all those games with super-soldiers may possibly become reality on the suit part. Imagine it, lifting 10X your original strength could even let you lift some small cars.

So i'm watching the first clip and i'm like "Dude that is pretty sweet". And then at about 1:21 they zoom in on the company name. Cyberdyne systems! Where is John and Sarah Connor?

The engineer talking is mister straightlace but that is hilarious. Especially at the end when he mentions they are developing an On-Star like support system which all the units will be linked to called a sky-net.

Ok i made that last bit up, but Cyberdyne? That struck me as quite amusing.

Clearing old structures and damaged ones would be problematic though.
Ambushes would be ace, though.

They should use the .50 cal MG. With a belt-fed 40mm grenade launcher. And a flamethrower.

The MK19 grenade launcher is a crew operated fully automatic 40mm grenade machine gun (75lbs without ammo or tripod). We used them in the MP corps on hummers and tripods and I believe that they used them on many other armoured vehicles in the Army and Marines. I hear they they are going to be phased out though. Makes me sad:( I loved that gun. It WAS power made manifest.
