I just finished my Assault Squad's Sergeant.

This is my first Space Marine Army =)

I'll post up pics of the rest of the squad when i finish it, if anyone is interested..

Good looking model. I see you are of the school of extreme highlighting. Some models look good in this style, some not. This one does ok.

looks great. I especially like the power sword.

Forgot to put up the chaplain that will be accompanying the squad frequently..







The flash on my camera doesn't really take very nice photos of him due to the little white glares that appear across all over him.. =(

You have a bold style of highlighting that really makes them pop. I like it!

definently an interesting highlighting style
not something i would use, but it does give an interesting effect.

Loving the highlights. As for the chap, he has great paint on him killed by the semi-gloss finish. I've got the same effect using gloss varnish painted on by hand. Krylon Matte Clear is your friend. Other then that everything is looking good! Keep painting and sharing!

Try a Matte sealant on them after a gloss, you should get better results.

a matte sealant?.. i've never tried that.. got any suggestions for brand?

Testors Dull Cote is often recommended for a matte seal, and I have heard it is good to do over top of a gloss, so your chaplain is all ready for it

the assault marine is epic, i wish that mine was looking like that at the moment. the chaplain though is screaming out for that dull cote, then it will be to the same prestige as the AM.

The chaplain doesn't look so shiny in RL... but I most probly will coat it with that dull coat.. as soon as I buy some =)

Have you tried highlighting thinner lines? If you don't like it that's cool...you can always make the lines thicker.

I think you should get another colour too higlight him with , or maybe its just becouse of the shining on the photos
