Bit of a long shot this one, an incredibly long shot at that, but does anyone have tracks for Chimeras at all? I've gotten two as part of a trade but they're trackless, and the guy I got them from doesn't have tracks for them any more.

So if you do have Rhino, Leman Russ or Chimera tracks at all please let me know.

Rhino tracks won't work on chimeras or russes.

WarPaint Miniature Studios is currently accepting select commissions! PM if interested!

Coolbeans, thanks for that info, I wasn't entirely sure on that one.

It seems that I might well be sorted out for this, so thanks to everyone that's offered to help out.

Tracks come from the same sprue for IG Leman Russes and the Chimera family of vehicles (Basilisk, Chimera, Hellhound, and Griffon).

You can avoid a lot of pain by simply buying the sprue on Ebay.

The key difference between vehicle types is that the LRBTs use an eight shoe track piece that the Chimeras do not. The LRBTs also do not use two of the four twelve shoe pieces or any of the two shoe pieces.

Each Chimera track assembly (two per vehicle) requires the following track pieces:
6 - single shoes
2 - double shoe pieces
2 - four shoe pieces
2 - twelve shoe pieces

You may be able to substitute lots of single shoes in lieu of the other pieces. I've never had to try so I don't know how well it would work.

When you build a Chimera, you are left with the following spares:
8 - single shoe pieces
4 - eight shoe pieces

When you build a LRBT, you are left with different spares:
6 - single shoe pieces
8 - two shoe pieces
2 - twelve shoe pieces

Your biggest problem will be the four shoe pieces because both types of vehicles use all of the four shoes. That is why you will have to find a substitute and why buying the entire sprue on Ebay might be easier.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Also its not that hard to takes spares of the larger 8 and 12 track lengths and trim them down to the shorter 4 lengths.
