Can termys use the locator beacon on drop pods? Thought i saw some where but cant seem to find it in the search.

This is answered pretty clearly on page 67 of the space marine codex.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I thought it was clear too but i recall someone saying that since they were teleporting in and not deepstrikeing that they couldnt use it.

No, they Deep Strike in from reserves, the Teleporting thing is just fluff.

Well, it's not just fluff as it does mean they meet the requirement to utilize the benefits of teleport homers as well as locator beacons.

Actually, it is the Teleport Homers rules that make it only work for Termies, while the Locator beacon Works for anything arriving by Deep Strike (Pods, Termies, Assault Squads)

Yeah, in the SM codex, it actually states the Locator beacon counts as a Teleport homer as well. So indeed it can be used by Termies, but as stated above, not on the same turn the Pod lands.
