Subject: stealth team battlesuit support system/ drone question

According to the most recent Tau codex, each member of a stealth team can select an item from the battlesuit support system list, which includes a drone controller. Models with a drone controller must select at least one drone, however drones are on the battlesuit wargear list rather than the support system list.
So can each stealth team member take a drone controller plus the drones, or not?
I had read another thread where someone said that if a model was equiped with a battlesuit then they could take 100 points from the wargear list i.e. could take a drone, however does a stealth suit count as a battesuit?

I disagree with the reading which states any model in a battlesuit can take the 100 points of wargear and think it is restricted only to the units that specifically say they can take additional items from the wargear list.
However it makes little difference because once you take the drone controller it forces you to take 1-2 drones in any combination whether the model would normally be able to make choices from the wargear list or not.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

i agree with dark slpleen once you take a drone controller the rules say that you must take drone's i undertsnd where the confusion could happen but you still have to take the drone.
Also i would not advise doing this for more then one model.

Yes, each team member can have a Drone Controller and must purchase 1 or 2 drones to go with it.

Why do you say that spivvey? Might be worth it to protect precious T3 suits?

While it isn't something to do every game, I do remember some fun times being had when running two teams of 6 suits, each with 2 gun drones each. Short range and will get creamed in close combat, but it's a lot of "hidden" firepower.
Alternatively stealth suits with marker drones do well with an infiltrate to one side of the opposing army, either drawing forces to them and slowing the advance on your lines in the process, or just providing semi-mobile marker light support.
