hi to all,me and a friend of mine are starting with wood elves(him) and dwarves/orcs/ogres(me,i can't decide which one i like better).
We would like some advices for an easy but effective WE army for him and some hints of which one to choose for me.I play orcs in 40k already so i wanted to change, but the odd spare bits would come in handy for convertions and the like.Really,i'm stuck.Help!

i played wood elves for a lil bit of time. the dryads are a really good core choice unit, take minimum units in multiples. the branch wraith is a great character to have in low points as your general, give him cluster of radiants for an edge in the magic phase and annoyance of netlings to make him harder for other characters to hit you.

from what i rememeber the WE battallion box was a good deal.

for you? your three selections are decent. i play dwarfs, they are a very forgiving army for the most part. besides there slow speed they have great LD, great core troops, loads of good guns as well.

orcs are more of a chance army, you have to be able to laugh to play orcs in fantasy, more so then in 40k (im an ork players for 15 years now).

ogres, which i play in fantasy are great, again your not gonna win much, but i enjoy them the same. there is geenrally 2 schools of thought with ogres, either MSU (multiple small units) or deathstars, which are big blocks of a unit, usually iron guts or maneaters, filled with 2-3 characters.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

If you play the ol' tree army, With only Treemen, Treekin and Dryads you will run out of opponents quite fast.
Atleast thats what happened to the guy in our community... in the end no one played against that army.

Just a heads up!
