Hey hey. Just joined Dakka Dakka, and i'm thinking of starting up my necron army for a game next week at my local GW. I've been using Chaos marines for a while, so thought I'd see what you guys think of the new and improved necron army.

I know it's a little over, but all the guys i game with i know and arn't usually fussed over 5 points.
I'm not really too concerned about the Phase Out, as I think in all the battles i've had with my 'crons i've only lost twice because of it. i try and look after my guys ^^

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome, preferably with some kind of justification. The only thing i'm hesitant about are the wraiths. I may swap them out for a group of scarabs, but not sure.

Usually SM, with not many tanks. Sometimes Chaos Demons and probibly some guard now the new codex is out.

You need some Scarabs, they will be instrumental is tying up the 50 man guard units you will see. Drop the Wraiths in favor of more warriors, Exchanging 3 destroyers for heavy destroyers would probably also help. Giving the Lord that Sunburst thing is also a good idea. It makes your warrior core harder to see for the guardsmen who will most likely be at the board edge.

Drop the wraiths, tomb spyders, and add another monolith or heavy destroyers. Tomb Spyders only work in larger battles. Because in smaller battles they are a left hand choice and a bit useless for the points. They're too slow to get into combat quickly, and should have more wounds.
