I dont know if this is where I should post this. Anyway, is this how you count armor upgrade:

1 Armor Upgrade = +1 (right?)

therefore a BB with 14/13/12 will turn into 15/14/13??

Is the armor upgrade worth it for BB?

If im not mistaken , the upgrade is only a choice if you dont attach the sponsons.

So the question is, are you fine without the sponsons?

It only increases the side armor...also, I don't think you'd be allowed to go above AV14 on any vehicle...

EDIT: Also, for the Leman Russ, or ANY other vehicle, doesn't extra armor just mean that the vehicle turns "stunned" results into "shaken"?

oh ok, so i need to decide between adding armor and adding firepower, doesn't the sponsons add armor too? since they are also looking like armored mini-turrets.

Anyway I'm going with adding more sponsons to my BB, thanks for the responses. By the way, do you guys prefer lascannons to auto-cannons? which is more effective against titans or anything heavy? how bout heavily armored marines?

But no, Extra Armour does NOT Increase the Armour Value of a Leman Russ, and the Baneblades option only ups the Side Armour from 13 to 14.

This should be in YMDC so I am moving it there.

Baneblade:

- If you want more armour, i.e. Side Armour = 14 (no change to front or rear) then you do not have sponsons

- If you want firepower frmo lascannons and heavy bolters then you have to have armour 13. You can then add more sponsons. While the sponsons ARE armoured, their presences means the main body of the tank is easier to penetrate (fluff)

Leman Russ / etc:

Extra Armour does NOT alter your armour value, it has an entirely different effect.

Autocannons are good for lots of dakka, but will still allow a marine their 3+ save. Up to you really.
