normally, i'm an orthodox warhammer 40k disciple, but 40 bucks for hybrid with the nemesis addon was too tempting an offer for me to pass up. i spent the afternoon drooling over the gorgeous floor tiles and assembling the 16 minis that come with the game. damn, i haven't worked with pewter in ages and i once more understand why i chose to only work with plastic anymore. anyway, apart from some flash and rough contact points, the minis are really great quality and i'm looking forward to starting the painting tomorrow.

slow start. somehow those university people have the gall to not only make us pay through the nose for the privilege of attending their seminars, no, they honestly expect us to work for our grades. which i did. yep, surprised me, too.
anyways, i quickly painted up one of the hybrids to test the colourscheme:

what i understood from the (french :( ) manual, the hybrids and some of the other monsters were the scientists that were locked in the labs, so i'll give them a peintjob that alludes to that. i'm really not sure sbout the surgical mask/white jaw thing. i might just give them completely white faces. also, i'll make them bloody. after all thy are psycho mutant doctors.
