Since you just joined the forum you'll probably need to provide a few references to make that large of a trade! If you could get pictures (borrow a friend's camera possibly?) you could get more for this lot... so it would probably be worth it!
So that would be my advice, list out exactly what you have and get a picture (even if it's just from a camera phone) and be ready with a few references when someone PM's you an offer . What a deal... darn my new job not starting yet!
Ok I understand, I just want to move them, I am running out of room. I have 45000 pts of Eldar that takes up quite a bit of room, and the high elves have been boxed for around 2 years. I have bought some newer stuff thinking I would eventually play then never did. Alot of it is already put together, and 6000 pts was a low estimate. I will try to lay it out, and borrow a carmera.
On the referance part, how would I go about picking people that someone would trust anymore than me. I do not know anyone personally here and I have never traded on here before, ( I sent some free eldar tank weapons to a guy once but that was all and I do not remember his name). I just want them to get used as well as put a few bucks in my pocket.
For references, if you have an ebay ID that will work well as a reference. I shared my ebay ID with someone on here that I traded armies with, and they were willing to ship first since I have really good feedback on there
It made it easier on my end, since he didn't have many references and it would have been stressful to send my army away with little reassurance that I would get it back!
And even if it took you a week to borrow a camera to get a picture, you'll get your money back with the extra you'd make in this deal, I'm sure! Even a disposable camera can do wonders in showing people exactly what it is that you're selling! (That and a comprehensive list of the items you're including, too!)
I am on it. Dont have an ebay account, but my good friend does and his rating is great. He would vouch for me. I am realizing that I am a little out of date here no ebay account, and dakka dakka account, I need to get with it.
That sounds like a good plan. You'll need to be able to reply to the emails from ebay to verify who you are if someone asks for the reference, so you may want to actually ask you friend to help you out and just sell it for you
I'll stop derailing your thread now, though! I'll PM if I have any more ideas for you . This looks like an incredible deal for someone, and I'd be asking you for references right now myself if I wasn't broke and already committed to a few other projects (also through the SwapShop )
