So,

I got the spray gun, base coated 10 models in one color, another 10 in another color with no problems. Let a buddy of mine come over and he used it to base coat about 10 models, but it seemed to take him about an hour to do so. I tried using it last night and can now see why it took him so long, it is working VERY sporadic now. I went ahead and bought a new can of propellant, and still no dice. Cleaned the needle, made sure everything the hose going to the jar was clean, and it appears I seem to be getting plenty of propellant going through the hose.

When I adjust the needle I can get it to spray for about a second or 2, then it just quits out and I have to re-adjust. Is this thing just a POS or am I just mucking something up (I'm shooting for the later option).

Is it the GW spray gun? Then everyone who has posted a review claim its pretty much a POS. For only a little bit more you can get yourself a nice dual-action gun that works far better.

Ya, it's the GW one

The spray gun is even sporadic with plain water, so I know it's not a paint thickness issue. With this **** thing is working now it would almost seem quicker to base coat with a brush!

Is there no paint blocking the main nozzle.

Is your paint old, as it may have chunks in it that are blocking the nozzle.

Did you clean it right after you used it? I had some paint dry in the nozzle and it took forever to clean it out- I think I wound up dipping it in turpentine for a couple of hours. Worse case scenario, take it to a GW and make them sort it out. I have been told by former employees that they have to fix things for you, if you ask them.

Odd, had mine since they made it available again, and I luff it. I do clean it thoroughly after every painting session though.

just bought a couple of DVDs from the guys that make MIG weathering powders. In one they mix Tamyia & thinners to a 2:5 ratio - ie really quite thin. They also mixed it in a separate container before transferring to the airbrush pot.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
