I was reading my space marine codex and on p 49 it talks about the "Feast of Blades". I was just wondering what happens there and who goes? I looked it up on Lexicanum and the only info it gives is this... http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Feast_of_Blades

So who is it that goes? Is it the Imperial Fist's second founding chapters? So the Iron knights, crimson fists, black templars etc..?

and what happens there??

I just did something cheeky which probably answers my own question...

I wrote up all the stuff I knew about the Feast of Blades on the lexicanum site. Feel free to tear it to shreds if its made up, I did put the source there.

So does anyone know anything else about it? Is it only referred to on p49 of the 5th ed codex?

Its the first and only time it has ever been mentioned IIRC. It's most likely some sort of Circlejerk of the Imperial Fists, it's Successors and Chapters based off their geneseed about how bad they are for failing the Emperor and need to try and prove they are manly by Playing with METAL BAWKES.

Sorry can't disclose.....infiltrating

i Believe i read off of somewhere its about 11 or so chapters that send there Emperors Champion to have ritualistic dueling to see who is superior im not sure of the reason off the top of my head, but i also believe i read that the iron knights champion won the feast of blades the past 2 or 3 times in a row

Thanks Arthas, I put the info about the Iron Knights Champion Hervlad Strom in the lexicanum page. See the link on the first post.

But how do they fight without killing eachother?

I see your fluff, and I raise it!!

Anything with feasting and fighting the Space Wolves would win. Thats probably why they're not invited! Just to give the others a chance.

I love how they have this prissy contest with blunted swords.

When Space Wolves and Dark Angels "work" together, it is traditional for two champions to strip down to their undies and beat the living tar out of each other to (literally) an inch of their lives (and in some cases 6 feet beyond).
