I just wanted to start a thread saying thanks to those who have helped those in our lives who have helped us keep our gamer sanity. Feel free to give props to those who you lean on.

First, mad props to the guys in the forum. Inspiration and laughs are always a good thing. The occasional argument is a good thing too (after they are resolved).
Second, my friends Vince, Mark, and Steven who have helped me to make it to tournaments and allowed me to have a virtual shoulder to cry on (in wins and losses)
Third, my friend Matt. He has moved far, far away, but he got me into the hobby and taught me how to paint. I will be forever grateful to him.

Sorry, too much bromance?

Aren't you a woman?

I think that without the internet I would have fallen away from this hobby long ago.

I would have to chalk it up to my FLGS owner. The store has been open for ten years this Augaust. Him and the other regulars have kept me in all the gaming.

Although alot of credit goes to the folks at my FLGS for my being an active 40k'er today, I think that I need to thank Dormer (RazakelXIII on this and several other forums) most of all. He's the one who got me back into painting, and got me coming to my FLGS in the first place. So he's a pretty cool guy.

Forever alone

I started the hobby on my own, but I owe my current success to H.B.M.C for directing me to cheap ways to play 40K.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I started many years ago after some friends nudged me in the direction. The first of whom has been gone some 10 years now.

I can't credit GW for keeping me in the hobby (as I'm playing still, despite them), but what was my old FLGS is still going strong and inspiring many noobs.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
