I found a few images of riot police that I thought I needed to share with the Dakka community. This is not a thread to discuss the behaviour of police or the modern media 'trial by camera' on the actions of police during riots and crowd control. This is simply to show how cool modern riot armour looks!!

So if you have any pics, please post them along with what country they're from. Maybe we can start a resource for budding arbites collectors on how their police should look!

Here are another two, I reckon all the black clothing/armour is to depersonalise the police and intimidate the rioters. Also so the rioters can't pick out individual police to target them.

No it was made by some canadian garage inventor that was supposed to make some computer power armor ish stuff.
( it was really useless ) some hokey / foot ball / mortor cycle stuff.

I found a website where you can buy gear... http://www.x-mensclothing.com/xmenspolicekit.htm it would be good for paintball/airsoft pro's who want their own kit. Or if you were a riot police officer.
