Im playin with the idea of a shrike list, but cant decide how to spend the last 200 points

Shrike- 195

Ven Dread: Multi Melta, H. Flamer- 175
Drop Pod- Locator Beacon- 45

that puts me right at 1635

an idea i had was to give the locator beacon DPOD tact squads serg a teleport homer and add a 5 man assualt terminator squad.
that would put me right at 1850

or i could find a way to shave 10 points and add another 10 man assualt squad,

or try to fit in some landspeeders w/ multi meltas

any other ideas would be greatly appreciated

maybe drop the pods and go with rhinos and landraiders?

I would personally also add the second flamer to both assault squads, dual templates of fiery goodness pwns!

You could also for 200 points drop in a pair of dakka predators, which can unload some serious hurt for 85 points each.

For the type of list you are going for I will make a few suggestions:

Drop the Scouts all together

On the Tacs drop the PF for a PW and add in a Melta to the squads

Drop one Assault Squad

Add in another Podding Tac Squad

Then add in a Libby with a Combi-Flamer/Melta Sternguard Unit

Also Swap the Venerable Dreads for Ironclads

Giving you 6 Podding units and a 1st Turn Charge unit that will die but will take out so much before they do its great (last game my Shrike and his mates killed 750pts worth of Sister before finally dying)

Also, fleet + assault terminators = awesome. Stick one unit in a LR for an intimidating assault range and then infiltrate/outflank with another. Brutal!

hmm i was under the impression scouts are must haves for baby sitting an objective.

how would i get all that extra stuff into the list?

Your dropping: 2 Venerable Dreads, 1 Assault Marine Squad, Scouts and the Powerfists from the Tac Squads

You should have enough points to add in what i mentioned.
