because sence is pronounced "sense".

sorry, back to the topic not really too sure remember that the CSM did loose a lot of there manpower when they turned heretic and members were practically killed if they were not a sorcerer (correct me if i'm wrong, not good with CSM fluff)

The Legions weren't quite that large generally.

From memory I think the 1K sons suffered terribly from mutation and psyker related problems during their development and they were almost wiped out, it being the discovery of Magnus and his geneseed/expertise ( or something) that enabled the Legion to survive. I'd guess maybe they were named for this reason and it was later kept as a memorial or similar ?

Assuming they were always called that anyway, they might give them a different name-- like the Death Guard or World Eaters had-- prior to Magnus joining them.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I think with the Tsons, a majority of them were killed but their ashes were sealed into their power armor and it requires a sorcerer to give them movement and action, or life so to speak.

If I'm wrong someone else please chime in.

Oh God, not this again.

Firstly, I second Gutteridge in saying lrn2spellcheck.

Secondly, they are called the Thousand Sons because the original Legion consisting of Terrans was very VERY small because of uncontrolled mutations and instability.

When they Met up with Magnus he gave a Speech about he and His "One Thousand Sons" would serve The Emperor. And that is how they got their name.

The Rubic of Arhiman happened well after the Heresy.
