If the following has been addressed already, I apologize. The Dakka Search function hates me.

We've been playing such that a Daemon Prince with Warp Time can use it at the beginning of each player's turn, assuming that the controlling player remembers to do so before his opponent begins moving models or doing other "at beginning of turn" things. Is this the correct way of doing things?

On a related note: can powers used at the beginning of the Assault Phase be used during ANY Assault Phase, or only that of the controlling player's?

It HAS been addressed.

Short answer:
Psykers can use their powers in the enemy's turn, provided the power doesn't state otherwise.

If your IC can cast 2 powers PER TURN, then it means PER PLAYER TURN. So, yeah...
Warptime.
All the time.
Every time.

Err, just where has this been addressed? The rules actually state that you cannot do anything in your opponents turn unless specifically allowed to (Such as Fighting an Assault or the Force Weapon Power).

The only reason you can Warptime on your opponents turn is because the power says "Any Players turn". A Power that says "At the start of the Assault Phase" can only be done on your turn unless allowed to otherwise.

Wait. So, let's see if I have this right:
Any Assault phase = both turns (duh)
The Assault phase = controlling player's turn only?

Correct, this is the same argument the "IG orders on your turn" camp seem to forget is true.

There's ONE place...
I used the magic of search-fu. I searched for "warptime," then... looked...

The eye of terror.

Warp Time is a great power, but is balanced by the fact that if you're making (potentially) 14 psychic tests per game the chance of suffering a wound from Perils is pretty high.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

well a MoT DP so they can use 2powers/turn would get a 4++ save, so its not too far fetched to not take a wounds from it. Besides who lets a DP stay alive long enough to, its a single model that's an MC best it can hope for is a 3+/4++ save .

The eye of terror.

Well, I generally use a Nurgle DP, so he's pretty tough against small arms fire.

Also, because you have to re-roll any successful invulnerable saves due to Perils of the Warp, even the MoT guy only has a 25% chance to pass.

With only 4 wounds on your 200 point unit (about where a MoT DP ends up being) any perils test is bad news.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

Ah. So the reason I couldn't find anything using the search function was because I typed in "warp time" instead of "warptime"?

Edit: Just re-read the rules on that one. It is clear.

I wouldnt say it was "decided on dakka" - the rules say ANY player turn, so how else could you interpret it?
