Im thinking of building a list around this beast, but im not sure how best to field him?

should i take a large squad of terminators and deepstrike him?

or put him in a landraider, i prefer the LR but then im not sure what works best with him in it:

4 terminators (then which icon?? slanessh, khorne??)

or a large squad of berzerkers?

so many options any help would be great

Well put him with some terminators and a LR and then go from there (mark depends on army layout/needs imo).

I can't justify taking him in under 2k games due to his cost.

im gonna use him in an 1850 list, hes expensive but hes a beast and well worth his points imo.

heres a set up i plan to use him as:

abaddon w/ 4 term. champions, 2 with 2 LCs, 1 Hflammer chainfist, 1 combi melta pwr wpn, and icon of slannesh

in a LR transport

Abby and 8 or 9 zerkers or possessed would work better than the termies, and be fearless too.

In large games go with Abby and Typhus hehe very friendly combo.

Well i have seen others justify him in 1000k, and im almost all they have won by a mile, especially again 60+ orks at that point level that try and go toe to toe with him.

i was under the impression that possessed sucked balls for their points cost, and i do like the idea ok abby and 8 zerkers w/ a skull champ and pfist.

Well in games under 1850 points I tend to take more troops and go for a higher model count because I tend to roll lots of 's. Abbaddon + any decent sized unit = easily 500+ points. So almost 1/2 to 1/3 of you points spent on a HQ and his meatsheild. To each his own I guess.

With a guy like Abaddon, so long as you point him in the general direction of the enemy and run forward, it's kind of hard to use him wrong.

Well if you are just trying to meatshield him then plague marines would be a good choice.
The unit he is in doesn't really matter as Abaddon does all the killing. They are just there to take bullets for him.
