Ok, I don't know if this is me doing this as I'm new to the site but when I search the forums for articles, is there anyway to just search the articles and not every single post in each article

eg: I've recently got a Valkyrie and I want to see other's paintschemes for inspiration so I go to the search area and search for "valkyrie", and EVERY single post from topics such as "Merican Valkyrie" and "Valkyrie is disappointing...". I just want to see the individual forums, without having to trawl through pages and pages of search results showing responses from the same forum over and over again...

Like I said, I'm new to the site so it's probably something I'm doing wrong, but if someone could help me I'd really appreciate it.

The search function gives you the option to choose which forums you want to search. In your case you'd probably want to do a search of both the Painting and Modeling and perhaps the P&M Blog fourms (you'll have to search each forum separately).

Another way to search just a particular forum is to actually go into that forum and then use the quick search field found at the top of the forum page.

I'm also new here, and I have to admit I'm not sure the search function works as expected. The term I tried to search for was "macharius" and a search across all the forums returned zero results.

Is the search limited to say last month, or is there some snag I don't know about, or am I a little thick?

We just released a minor update to the site and it looks as though the search databases got a bit screwed up. I just sent Legoburner a PM about it and hopefully we'll have it fixed fairly shortly.
