Alright, so contrary to popular belief, I LOVE the idea, concept and unit that is the aformentioned. Im curious as to how other people feel about their usefulness, as well as just their use altogether. I am doing an interesting theme based army(top secret), with things like nonjumpack assaulters, legions, and such...Well, what do people think of the legion?

I know whatmost people will say. They will say the Legion is a tad overpriced, though cool, and compete in the Elite slot with better choices in a Space Marine list.

I, however, like the Legion of the Damned idea and think the unit can serve a purpose. I suspect their best use might be in conjunction with a Librarian and Gate of Infinity. Since the Legion can move and fire heavy weapons, they could teleport around with the Gate of Infinity and hit armored units with a Multi-melta and Meltagun.

Teleporting them via a Librarian is the best bet. The Librarian should be kitted with terminator armor so he can join them in reserve.

Huh. Never thought of using them with a libby before, but that sounds like an awesome plan. Otherwise, just use them as a slightly more shooty tac squad.

They are great in apoc for taking out large vehicles.

Their ability to deepstrike and still fire a multimelta is superb.

A legion of the damned librarian would be a cool conversion.

Well, the question I have about the gate power for the libby is this: Is it worth the risk with that mishap chance, considering if one happens and there are 6 doubles you can roll, couldnt he just snipe your important units, Heavy gunners, LIBRARIAN, etc?
