anyone still have there very first paint job or first mod if so we should post them with a then and now pics.ill post mine as soon as my camra batt. is recharged

this is my furst painted mini its a ral partha figure from way back in 1987. i used tooth picks to paint this thing,because back in the day there wasnt a brush selection to chose from in hobby shops like today.well unless you count testors plastic bristle paint brush, you all know the one with the white plastic handle.

The pictures are a bit blurry, sadly. However, from what I can, it looks pretty cool.

I have no images of the first paintjob I did of my orks. But I remember the horrible paint scheme and will paint them in the same way and post an image for your viewing hatred should I find the tme.

My first ever proper paint job I did was my Space Marine commander 3rd edition metal mini ive been collecting since I was 14 years old but back in my youth it was more about playing then painting .

It was when I started my Crimson Ravens as soon as I bought that Blister and the Battleforce I vowed I would paint the entire force and that I did but he was my first ever mini I painted he fought also in the Medusa Campaign soon after he died at the hands of Tyranids I phased him out of my army.

My first paintjob was a quartet of BattleMechs from the Heavy Omnimech Box Set.

Thankfully for the eyes of everyone, they have LONG since been stripped and repainted.

its funny to look back on these days but its great to see the things we have learned on the way thanks for the replys and lets keep this alive with more post of those horrific paint jobs and glad its repainted moments

My painting is not quite as honed as i liked but im getting there. I also have only been in this hobby since last year.

I don't have any of my "first paintjob" models anymore (not since around '95 or so).

The rest look like they were painted by a 3 year old with attention deficit issues and a bucket.

Some of them, however, are well painted (as well as I can paint them, with limited depth perception and vision issues).

None are good enough to even bother entering into GD (if we still had one), so I don't bother.
