After scanning through my codex I can't find a little bit of information. Maybe y'all can help a brotha out.
How do Tau mark dates? How long is a small increment of time, like an earth day? month equivalent? year?

The previous/old codex has more background about them and their language. You could probably pick up a copy somewhere. I find my copy useful to have around on occasion.

Right... which is why they have an entire caste of capitalists.
The Tau are a mix of The Federation from Star Trek and Modern India/China with a splash of Native Americans thrown in for good measure.

The point remains that the Tau are more like Native Americans than Russian Communists.

The point remains that the Tau are more like Native Americans than Russian Communists.
You don't need russian for it.
The book is actually in german, but i think the russians added a lot to it and made communism ( as "envisioned" in the book ) into a reign of terror.
Some ideas just don't work.
Communism isn't seen as lone stat for tau, but part of their appearance to others.
- sway others to your system
-massive propaganda
-hidden capitalism
-no different thoughts allowed
-government is always right
could go on but i think you get the idea why Tau may have some similarities with "communist states".
But fine if you see them otherwise and include your take in your fluff.
