Did I screw up by buying Heavy Gear Blitz! Reloaded?

The most current edition is Heavy Gear Blitz Locked and Loaded. HGB LaL

Oops. Guess I'll have to wait until next month to catch up on it then.

It would be nice if we could get addt'l info on why the game is good, or what it plays like. Like if 40K has a grimdark background and is great for representing mass combat, and Warmachine is good for steampunk fantasy, and everything is borken but in a good way, then what is Heavy Gear?

Also, what are the different factions? Everyone is good, but in their own way? Um... h'okay...
